Philosophy Caricatures

3 caricatures of employees at philosophy communication I did during my internship.  They were for teams of three so each one is kind of a morphed version of three people at once.  A different way to think of mascots and good practice with figuring out people's stand out features.

I'll be in a children's book illustration class soon and I'm trying to get a head start on what to do....Still 

a lot of planning for the plot but here's some character sketches and a color finish of the look and style of the main character.  Super psyched to get into this more!

Jelly-Limbed Peeps

I'm trying out new styles and methods for illustration so I experimented with a couple of sketches I did of friends and tried out new digital techniques playing with lots of textures.  And Jelly-limbed seemed appropriate because for some reason lately I like drawing people without proper bone structures.  Their just more squishy and fun!

Moon Goddess Spicy Hot Chocolate

This was a creative project for my Nonwestern Art History class to modernize a nonwestern art technique, and what can be more modern than taking ancient mythology and reinterpreting it for a product logo.  The Moon Goddess is from Mayan Mythology who can always be found with her rabbit sidekick discussing secrets in the sky, and I choose them to represent spicy hot chocolate because its a popular Mayan drink.  This was also meant to be a bit of a parady on Starbucks, hence the slight mimic of their design.
